  • Condition: Extremely RARE variety 1865 50c (Doubled Date WB-102 RPD) 50c Seated Liberty Half Dollar, conservatively Graded and Certified by PCGS AU53, Almost Uncirculated. A very Frosty and Attractive rarity!! This coin is Very Original and White. Steely luster with cartwheel effect present this nearly-untoned surfaces. Protected areas reveal original Mint bloom. You just don't see this date so nice, let alone such an extremely rare varity!! The WB-102, with doubling plainly visible in the date. The coiner initially punched the date sloping down left to right, and then corrected the impression to create a level date. Nicely struck with sharp stars and claws. An exquisite example of this rare variety and the very sharp Dramatically Doubled Date indicator can easily seen in hand with the naked eye. A very difficult variety to locate in ANY grade, and highly sought after rarity, especially Almost Uncirculated and Original Eye Appealing condition! Housed in a PCGS Gen 4.6 (2013-2014) holder.

    Extremely RARE variety 1865 50c (Doubled Date WB-102 RPD) 50c Seated Liberty Half Dollar, conservatively Graded and Certified by PCGS AU53, Almost Uncirculated.  In an older holder, when grading was more conservative.  This coin could have graded higher, and in my opinion would upgrade with today's grading standards.  A very Frosty and Attractive rarity!!
