    American World War 1 era pictorial trench art showing a full figured  doughboy leading a charge probably from the trenches.He appears to be wearing captain's bars on his left shoulder.The scene also shows 2 additional helmeted soldiers below perhaps still in the trench. Additionally 2 biplanes are pictured.The  American 75mm shell from  which this  piece was created was made by the New York Air Brake Co.which was  contracted by the U.S.Army in 1918.This is a rare piece of  American made W W 1  trench art probably made by a U.S.soldier.Most examples seen are of European  origin.The piece is offered as found without repairs or restorations.shipping includes tracking and insurance.
