McClellan Saddle And Reproduction Blanket

Description

1904 model McClellan 11" shield plate, with replaced rigging and one replaced ring safe.   Replaced stirrup leathers and non original metal stirrups.   There is one original ring safe marked "LADEW 1918".   The other one is a replacement.  The adjustable lower rigging is a replacement.   It does have it's original brass, shield, rings and upper rigging.   The leather condition is good, but unfortunately looks like drizzles of something on the seat and underside have been applied at some point.  (Possibly padding?)
Including a reproduction blue with red stripe surplus blanket as it was used on this display.   The stirrup leathers are new and solid, just thinner than I would like for a stirrup.   New rigging is thicker than I would like.   However this was  not a riding saddle, it was a display, so attention to detail on what would bruise your leg was not first and foremost when this got an upgrade.
