    Description

    Rare United States Veterans Bureau Carr China Bowl 1918-1930 Hospital Cafeteria bowl 3 3/8 inches tall x 4 1/2 inches opening x 3 inches at footed base. Heavyweight like stoneware or ironstone. Has some discoloration like ironstone. No cracks or chips...the one handle looks more worn than chipped. I am not sure if it was for soup porridge or may a yummy pot pie..The Veterans Bureau was eventually consolidated with a couple other Bureaus and became the Veterans Administration sometime in the early 1930s.
