    Description

This is an original WWI handmade blue star flag with 10 stars. We believe this flag was made for an institution such as a church or other entity rather than a family. It is 3 feet tall and 20" wide. Complete handmade. It is quite delicate and has some damage as can be seen in the pictures. It would, however, be beautiful framed.
These are quite rare and hard to find and are great to accessorize any WWI or other historical display. We absolutely guarantee authenticity.
For those who don't know - these types of flags originated in WWI. Each blue star represented someone in a family or other entity that was serving overseas. When a gold star is sewn on top of a blue star, it indicates someone on the flag was lost in the War. This tradition continues until today and modern day blue star and gold star flags can be seen on homes and cars.
